When we travel, we explore the world and expand our horizons. I believe in this statement, and I travel a lot myself. I tell my guests in Switzerland exactly what I want to know when I am in another country. I have an art history degree and have been a tour guide for over 20 years. My education has helped me a lot. But what has helped me a lot in my profession is that I still enjoy learning new things and sharing my knowledge with everyone. It is very important to me that my tours are interesting – for adults and children, for those who come to Switzerland for the first time and even for those who live here.
I know that any important facts and significant events are easier to remember when you connect the past with the present in your story. You can understand how a modern city lives only when you know what was happening here 100, 500 or more years ago. The architectural styles of the buildings, the special details of the decorations of the facades are impressive, but they also look very different when you learn about the fate of their owners or the curious incidents that happened here. Уou can experience the special atmosphere of each city even more when you get to taste traditional dishes, visit popular cafes or hear about the favorite holidays of the locals.
