Lucerne, small but very popular with tourists, gets too crowded in the main summer season. If, after seeing the main sights, you would like to be alone with the incredible scenery of the Lake Lucerne region, I suggest taking a walk to Meggenhorn Castle. This amazing place has its own very interesting history and I will tell you about the biographies of some of the former owners. An elegant building with a small chapel in neo-Gothic style surrounds a well-kept park. Rows of vineyards descend to a small farm. And on special paths you can go directly to the shore of the lake. The views that open up here from every point are unique. And I would not be surprised if you ask to linger here for a few more minutes. It’s impossible to rush in this place.
